Fit between the 2 parts is a little wonky.
The fit between the top and base is a not a good fit on some of them. Still works tho. Kept them and am using.

I didn’t know what to expect but my violets are doing amazing. I just put a little feed in the water and they are good to go. I have been able to use them for starters and adult plants.

They are just as advertised. I already have plants in them the part I like the best is I can see when the plants need to have water added to the clear base. I would definitely buy them again

Great for folks that overwater
I love them because you don’t have to worry about watering your plant too much or too little. Plant your plant in the pot I let the wicks do the work just wish they made them in a larger size.

Effective Self Watering Planter
I’ve had a love/hate relationship with plants. Too often I’ve overwatered or underwatered. It’s also been difficult to keep plants alive while I’m on vacation. I’ve tried other types of self watering planters in the past with mixed results. These self watering planters work well though. The wicks seem to draw the right amount of water into the soil to keep my plants happy, and the clear water reservoir makes it easy to see when the water is getting low and needs to be refilled.

Very impressive product!!
“I recently purchased a set of 6 Inch Self-Watering Planter Pots, and I must say, these pots have been amazing for my indoor gardening experience. The self-watering feature is a real winner. It takes the guesswork out of watering my plants. The built-in reservoir at the bottom of the pot ensures that my plants get just the right amount of water they need, preventing overwatering or underwatering. This feature has not only simplified caring for my plants but has also led to healthier and happier foliage. The design is sleek and modern. These pots look great in any setting, whether it’s on a windowsill, countertop, or balcony. They add a touch of style to my indoor garden. The quality of these pots is impressive. They are sturdy, well-constructed, and durable. I can tell they will last for a long time, which is a great investment for any plant enthusiast. The size is just right for a variety of plants, from small herbs to medium-sized houseplants. The 6-inch diameter provides ample space for root growth. The ease of use is awesome and the weight of the product is great. Not too heavy. The included saucers are a thoughtful addition, preventing any water runoff from making a mess.Overall, I am extremely pleased with the 6 Inch Self-Watering Planter Pots. They have simplified my plant care routine, improved the health of my plants, and added a touch of elegance to my home. If you’re a plant lover, these pots are a must-have addition to your collection. I highly recommend them!”

Very shallow
This works perfectly. My tiny little plant loves the watering… but maybe a little too much. Within 2 weeks it had grown so much that the roots are breaking through the way too shallow potting area into the water reservoir. There isn’t enough room in the pot for a mature plant. Sad. Another little pet peeve is that both the top and bottom of this pot are the same size, so they do not fit snuggly together, you can see in the pic that the top portion has to sit a little crooked. Not a huge deal, just a bit of a design flaw.

Loved them mostly.
They’re attractive, useful, practical. Only drawback I saw was I bought them for African Violets and that plant instructions said empty water every week. The two parts seal so tight that once filled with dirt it’s hard to get them apart. So I decided to only put a small amount of water in my violets at a time so I didn’t have to dump the water. I’ve had two people were impressed by these pots and want to buy them.

Great pot for African Violets
Mom African Violets were not doing well in traditional pots. I researched and these came up. For the price they are an AWESOME value and do the trick. I can go weeks without watering my violets because the water basin in pretty large. I will 100% order these again!

Not what I was looking for
These seem to be nice quality. They are bigger (taller) than I imagined which is one reason I didn’t keep them. The other is that they take some force to attach together and a lot of force to take apart. I thought this might be a problem with keeping the water reservoir clean. The holes in the area where the plant goes are large enough for dirt to get through so the bottom will need to be cleaned occasionally. I don’t know how you would get the two pieces apart without damaging the plant because they fit so snugly together.

Disappointed, however…
I need a specific pot type for a rare plant. This would work if the pot and water reservoir actually fit together. They do not. Now I have 3 speciality pots made So poorly that I can’t use them without filing the pots to make them fit. Not worth what I was charged. Update; Once I finally got them snapped together, the pots are actually very good. Adding stars now…

Cute self-watering pots!
These are very cute. I just don’t like when the see-through bottom fogs up at times, and also the top doesn’t rest on the bottom piece completely like it should. They are still quite nice though regardless.

Things grow.
They work. Keep about 2″ of water in the bottom instead of filing too full and it works well. About once a month pour a tiny bit of miracle gro or other plant fertilizer in and that’s all you need (along with some good potting soil.)

Kept my fussy Trader Joe’s plants alive for more than 2 years
I purchased these in 2021, so this evaluation is based on two years of owning. Trader Joe’s helped me acquire a vast plant collection during the pandemic. A few plants are high-maintenance divas that require the precise quantity of water or they will die. It was a nuisance to have to replant, but it’s well worth the one-time effort because my picky divas are still alive (I’m looking at you, chenille plant). Just ensure that two white cords extend from the top of the soil to the bottom of the water dish when replanting. The water dish is dirty, but I don’t bother cleaning it because it’s messy to attempt to pry the two pieces apart when the top is filled with soil.

Ridiculously simple, yet working and ingenious way to keep some potted plants idealy watered. Actual shown picture is slightly better looking than product (probably due to the plant they used), but works great for my orchids.

LOVE These planters!
I absolutely LOVE these planters. I looked at a variety of self watering planter options out there and liked what I saw with these planters:The clear base allows me to quickly see water needs, as well if a change of water might be needed.Light weight (but not flimsy) very easy to pick up – move, clean, tend to, etc..My plants are already LOVING these planters – they perked up right away (I think I see them smiling)… I am a plant killer, my talent with killing plants I joke that I could kill an artificial plant, or even a picture of a plant. so this hopefully will help keep my little beauties happy.Extremely happy – love these planters.Plus the appearance is lovely too – the medium-light gray is a nice compliment to most decor – the 6 inch planter is a perfect size for most planters (I transplanted plants from 4 inch planters, so nice and roomy for those plants)Highly recommend.

Wonderful for violets
These are perfect to keep water off the leaves of your African violets. So easy to assemble & helps you to know when to water because the base is clear. I love how the rope wicks water up to the plant.

Perfect, just what I needed
Kept my basil alive while I was on vacation!I was worried because I was leaving for a week and basil are finicky little rascals to begin with, but the watering system gave them just enough to survive. When I returned, the water in the tank was all used up and my plants were slightly droopy, but better than I expected!(pictured is a day after I returned and re-watered)Only criticism is the bottom water tank attachment is a bit difficult to attach and detach

Very good for plants, but difficult for a beginner
This product came with zero instructions, not even a picture on the box. I did not realize I had to install the wick prior to potting my plant. This required me to plant the violet twice, stressing it twice. Then I had no idea how much wick went where or how much water to put in the base. So then once I had it put together I realized the wick was covered in potting soil and thus quite unsightly. Once the base is placed on the bottom water container it did not come off easily which sent my violet flying. Then I had to repot it a third time! It may, or may not, turn out well. Maybe this is something that should be second nature to an experienced person, but it was not for me. Beginners: plot your actions step by step before assembling. This item was made in China. UPDATE: Now that these planters have been in use for a while, I find them very useful. My African Violets seem to love the direct/continual water feed.

Low maintenance way to grow plant
These self watering pots are great for people who go on short trips or those who don’t remember to water often enough. The water wicks up through the small rope and into the soil to water plants as they need it. Like them a lot.

Using these for all of my plants!
I love these planters, I have so far ordered them four times as I work toward putting all my plants into these. They look nice enough to where I can have my plants on display but also know exactly when they are low on water (no more sticking fingers in the dirt or waiting until the leaves get droopy). I first ordered these planters 2+ months ago and all the plants in them have bounced back, are growing, and are doing way better than my other plants. Also you can’t beat the price! Planters can be so expensive but these are affordable enough that I’m replacing all my old planters with them and I haven’t had any issues with them so far. A couple of them don’t snugly fit together but it doesn’t affect the performance and it’s not a big deal considering that they are so affordable. I never leave reviews but I felt I should here because I highly recommend these!

Makes being a plant mom a breeze!
I purchased these to transfer some of my houseplants that I thought would be better served with the self-watering method. These pots are perfect for sitting in my window sill and my plants are thriving! Some plants have shown quite a bit of growth once being transitioned into these planters. I loved them so much that I ordered a second set. My Zee Zee plant and snow white waffle plant have almost doubled in size since being placed in these. Another great feature of these pots is that they help decrease the presence of gnats because you are “bottom watering”. “Bottom watering” is essentially what it sounds like; watering the plants from the bottom. This prevents soggy/wet soil which can create an environment for gnats. They also prevent over and under watering which people tend to do with houseplants, especially if they are new plant moms/dads. Since the water reservoir is clear, it is easy to see when you need to add more water.

Happy Happy Joy Joy
I was hesitant to use any kind of self watering system. I felt it would take away from the whole experience of being a plant mom. Boy oh boy was I wrong. I’m sold on these planters. Super easy to set up & refill the reservoir. I have my pride & joy Philodendron Brasil in one of these & it has flourished for sure. I also planted an Aglaonema Silver Bay at the same time & it is giving me several more leaves as well as another stem. I recently rescued a Drecaena Art Carmen which I replanted after many weeks of getting it to acclimate to my environment. I’m hoping for the best. One of the things I love is not having to water on a regular basis. It takes all the guesswork out of watering. Plus you can see how much water is in the reservoir at all times. The only thing I wish was different would the be the depth of the actual pot. If it was at least an inch to two inches deeper, I feel that would have been a better design. However that is not a complaint but more of a suggestion. All in all I’m extremely happy with this purchase.

Nice pots
My plants really seem to like these pots. They are just as pictured, but one thing I didn’t think about is, though the clear bottom lets me see when they need more water, it also lets everyone see the dirty-ish water and strings hanging down. My only other complaint is that the space to add water is too small try to fill with a glass or my watering can.

My Plants Love These Pots!
I have a SOH (String Of Hearts), and I’ve had her for almost a year now. The beginning of our journey together was a little rocky, with her losing almost all of her leaves at one point, and my anxiety skyrocketing through the roof because of it. Abel (my SOH) is my second plant, the first one being a cactus I named Steve. Those beginning moments with Steve were great, but after a while, Steve became almost like a decorative piece in my room. I understand that’s the point of plants, to liven up a space, but Steve didn’t do anything for me personally, so I had to let him go. Almost 6 months after Steve’s departure, I got Abel. She was easy to care for and didn’t even ask for a lot. Off-topic, but I thought I’d add some background to the pots. Anyways, my plants absolutely love these pots. Once I potted Abel in one of these things, she grew like crazy. And more recently, I got myself a marble pothos named Joji and he absolutely loves it. I’ll post their pictures here whenever I get the chance. All in all, I love these pots, and I will order them again whenever I get more plants!

Game-changer for my alocasias and aroids
The media could not be loaded.
I’m suddenly getting more, and bigger leaves with these pots. I have about 35 alocasias and aroids with moss poles in these pots, and all of them are thriving. I love being able to check my whole collection at a glance (including debris). For outdoor plants, I drilled a hole at the max fill line, so the reservoir can’t overflow. I just wish they came in more sizes.
