How long do these plant watering globes provide water for?
- The time would depend on soil, plant, environment and size of pot. In general, it can last 4 days to more a week
- Make sure you have good quality, moist soil. If the soil is too dry or sandy, the water will just run right through and empty out quickly. Watering your plant 100% before you put watering bulbs in, it will extend self-water time.
- Also consider the plant itself (how thirsty the plant is), environment(temperature and humidity) and pot size, it may require multiple bulbs to extend the working hours of self-watering globes.
- The plant is more large, the pot is more bigger, the self-watering time is more shorter. We would recommend, give your pots a thorough watering and set your bulb’s quantity and location.
- It is designed to prevent overwatering and keep the watering when people go out for vacation. Please test the releasing speed of the plant waterer before you go out to protect your plant’s life.

Water bulbs
I was happy about the size of them and they work like the glass but they won’t break!

Good for the price
They are good for pots of all sizes. The water last for some time. Find it challenging adding water to them. Takes some time.

Unreliable – Sensitive to soil density
I used a bunch of these when overseas for a couple months. Some worked, but many either remain clogged and did’t let any water out the whole time, or released all the water right away

No instructions, confusing on how to use
Came shoved in a plastic bag. No instructions. Would only recommend if you had lots of plants to water. Very confusing too. As soon as I inserted it, the water did not slowly disperse.

They just seem to work for me.
Obviously, these things work fine for others and I must be doing something wrong. Either the water drains out immediately (despite the soil being moist) or it doesn’t drain at all (if I wind up clogging the end with soil).

not as nice or heavy as the glass ones
these are a little too small to be very effective. they don’t hold enough water, clog easily and empty too fast and fall out of the pot

So happy with these!
I needed a way to water my plants while I was away. I tested them out a few days before I left and they worked great. I just started growing a few bonsai trees and have an orchid. Worked great on all my plants. I’m ordering more!

I love these, but all the little ones are blocked and don’t work so it’s a waste to purchase. The large one worked great.

My plants appreciate them
Two different sizes. Great deal for the amount you get. I love these for when I go away for a few days and can’t water my plants. Great quality, holds water perfectly, pretty blue color but still see through.

Do not bother with the small ones!
I purchased these to assist with watering my hanging baskets and planters and to add another pop of color. I received 6 large and 4 small. The large ones are easy to fill (just hold under the faucet until full), however, they empty quickly once placed in the soil. The small ones I absolutely regret purchasing!! They are very hard to fill due to the size of the holes. I’ve tried holding them under the faucet and even submerged them in a bowl of water placing something on top to weigh them down. Nothing worked. Guess I’ll be tossing those!!

Not as I expected
They’re cute. But they did not water as well as I had hoped. I was looking for something that released the water more slowly. Also, they are not very sturdy (plastic),

I got these water gloves for when I left for vacation for 5 days. The larger ones worked better than the small ones. When I returned , the dirt the globes were put into was very dry but my flowers were alive luckily!

Helps me prevent over watering
Although tricky to find just the right angle to insert into the plant pot, it does prevent me from over watering my plants. Multiple sizes were a bonus for my different size plant pots. The plant pot must be heavy or stable because the water globe will tip the whole pot. For smaller, lighter plastic pots I had to lean the globe against a plant stand or wall. Overall, I liked them. I liked the color. They look nice in my plants. They are lighter than the glass globes. My plants live longer. The globes help get rid of fungus gnats because water is delivered to the roots keeping the soil surface dry. This interrupts the life cycle of the fungus gnats.

This is a great deal for the price, I really only needed the 6 big ones the 4 little ones was a added bonus for me. But now that I have them I wish they had all been the bigger size because we bought more planters.

Worked well for my vacation (with a little advance preparation)
I went on a 2-1/2 week vacation and these worked well for my six plants. They were a bit droopy but survived in pretty good shape. I have seen many reviews where the bulbs release all of their water in one day, and this is true if the soil is not first saturated with water. If there is air in the soil, the water from the bulb releases to fill that air space, so you want to make sure that the soil is pretty wet before leaving on vacation. I did this by using, and refilling when empty, the bulbs for 3-4 days before I left for vacation. Once the soil was saturated, and the bulbs held water for more than a day, then I was good to go. It may not be good to use this approach for your routine watering (roots need air or they will drown) but it worked well for my vacation.

7+ days and still did the job
We were going away for 2 weeks and were worried about watering our plants. This worked perfectly. Tip to the side more for a slower drip or more straight up for a faster drip. We did the slower drip and it worked fine.

My experience echos other peoples who have noted that it just dumps water directly into the plant instead of as needed. Would return if hadn’t used.

Bought another batch
These are as good or better than the much higher priced versions! Easy to fill, look nice, keep plants happy for a while. How long depends on the plant and the weather, but they definitely will buy you at least a few days to over a week of watering.

Watering sensation
The media could not be loaded.
I definitely haven’t joyed using these to water. My plants they definitely make sure that the soil is nice and moist. The only problem I have with them is filling them up takes some type of measuring cup with a funnel to be able to get the water in there properly. The big ones not so much, but the smaller ones. You’re definitely gonna need a dropper or something that pours fine.

I always over watered my plants!
Great for those who over water or forget to water their plants. Glad these are plastic and not glass. Plants drink what they need instead of worrying if they are over watered or not watered enough.

Vacation home necessity
These bulbs worked great to keep my summer plants alive when not at our vacation home. Two large bulbs watered an 8 to 10 inch flower pot for about two weeks. The only mild challenge was when dirt was stuck in the tube it was a challenge to dislodge them for refill.

Water evaporates fast
I have both glass and these plastic watering bulbs and the glass ones hold water longer. The plastic ones are empty the next day. They cute, though, and won’t break like the glass ones but they need refilled more often which defeats the purpose. In all fairness these were used in outside potted plants in the middle of summer in Phoenix Arizona. Maybe indoor pots and climate would be different.

Work great!
I live in chicago so it can get very hot during the summer. I bought these because I was going to be gone for 8 days and I didn’t want my flowers to die. I used 2 large globes for large pots and they worked great. My flowers were fine when I got home.

Great plant watering globe
I was skeptical. I had another brand, glass ones that didn’t work. I tried these before going on vacation to see if they would work. They do! The water slowly seeped into the pot, didn’t get clogged like previous ones I bought. Very impressed on the quality and quantity for the price.

Water globes are handy when you don’t have time to water your plants. The large globes are easy to fill but the small ones are tricky to fill with water. But l like them and I’m planning to order more.🪴

Almost great
I like they came in different sizes. However I wish they would of had 3 sizes not 2. The small ones are nearly impossible to use. To fill with water is harder than just watering on a as need basis. I don’t see myself ordering again, bc the only reason I got these was bc they had different sizes. The large work fine but I can order glass for the same price, same size as the large, and better quality. If they end up making 3 sizes and fix the issue with getting water into the small ones I would consider trying again.

Listen to other reviewers
Item did not come with instructions but I don’t think they were necessary given the simplicity of the product. I was wrong. The large ones drained, even after watering first. The small globes dispensed nothing. The small are not watering at all. I may clean them & return as they either drown my plant or don’t water at all.

Work great!
I have to disagree with the reviews stating these are hard to fill up. I had no problem filling mine; I just used the tiniest trickle of water and had no issue. Another option is to fill a bucket or large sink and submerge them to fill. They worked well and kept my plants watered while on vacation. 4 stars only because I wish they had a middle size that is in-between the small and large size provided. I am happy with my purchase and the price point on these.

Handy!
Just used these for the first time and they worked pretty well for a short trip. Give yourself plenty of time when filling. One drained immediately and one got clogged with dirt and didn’t drain at all, but the rest did their job fine.

Do the job but
These are okay. I feel like they drain much quicker than my glass Aqua Globes and the openings on these are not as smooth so it’s harder to fill them. I do like the variable sizes but I would probably go back to paying for the glass ones next time.

PERFECT IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE AWAY

Works wonderfully!
I have used them throughout the house for a few weeks and think they work great! The size of the container and the needs of the plant determined which size was used.I had no difficulty filling either size. Just use a slow stream from the faucet and tilt the stem of the bulb to about 45 degrees.I did use a chop stick to pre-drill holes in the soil to avoid clogging the stem. I also find an angle into the soil works better than straight down. To make sure I don’t have an air bubble trapped, I slowly tilt the stem down and then know I am good to go when I see an air bubble come into the bulb.I like that they are plastic, someone in my house would probably find a way to break a glass version! For me they are practical and not meant for decoration. Definitely worth a try if you have a plant addiction!
